Meeting Bable is an AI tool built specifically for meetings. Every feature below came out of a real moment we kept running into ourselves — sitting in a lecture in a second language, catching up on a call we missed, trying to remember who said they'd handle the follow-up three weeks ago. The features are grouped by the kind of moment they help with: capturing what was said, keeping track of who said it, organizing it so it stays useful, and making it accessible from wherever you already work.

The core flow is familiar if you've used a transcription tool before: start a session, get a transcript, get a summary. What's different is the shape of everything around that core — live translation in 19 languages with the original and translation side by side, cross-meeting knowledge that builds itself from hashtag topics, action items that know who actually committed to what, and a way to let your existing AI assistants read your meeting history directly. Real-time translation is the feature that most obviously changes how people run cross-border meetings. As each phrase is finished, the translation appears in the target language next to the original — usually within two seconds of the speaker's last word. Nineteen languages are supported, and every combination works both directions: Mandarin to English, Japanese to Korean, Spanish to German, Vietnamese to French, whatever pair your team needs. There's also a post-meeting translation flow for uploaded files, which is useful for recorded conferences or client calls that were not translated live. For standard business meetings the output is accurate enough that most teams stop booking interpreters for anything short of legal depositions. We want to be clear about the edge: contractually sensitive conversations still deserve a human interpreter. For the 95% of meetings that sit outside that bar, the cost and immediacy tradeoff is the whole reason people switch.

You can capture four different audio sources: your microphone for in-person or headset calls, browser tab audio for anything running in Chrome (Google Meet, Zoom web, Teams web, Riverside), system audio for desktop apps that don't play through the browser, and uploaded files for recordings you already have. Nineteen languages are supported, including the CJK set (Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean) that most transcription tools handle poorly. The Chrome Extension adds one-tap recording inside Google Meet and Zoom so you don't have to switch contexts just to start capturing.

A raw transcript is a 60-minute wall of text that nobody actually reads, which defeats the point of capturing the meeting in the first place. Meeting Bable's AI summary is closer to how a good chief of staff would write up the meeting: a short overview, a decisions list with the reasoning behind each one, and an action items list where each task is paired with the speaker who actually committed to it. A one-hour meeting is usually summarized in about 30 seconds. Output language is independent of the meeting language — a meeting held in Japanese can produce an English summary for a global audience, and the other way around. If you run multiple meetings on the same project, tag them with a hashtag topic and the AI builds a cross-meeting summary on top, surfacing recurring themes, reversed decisions, and still-open action items across every tagged session.

Accuracy is strongest when each voice has distinct acoustic characteristics and minimal overlap; for two-person calls it's typically 95%+ reliable, for five-person panels it's lower but still useful. For teams with recurring participants, tapping "This Is Me" links a speaker to a profile so future sessions don't require re-labeling.

Most real work spans many meetings — a hiring decision comes out of five conversations, a launch plan is assembled across a dozen syncs, a customer relationship builds over months of check-ins. Without grouping, each meeting's notes sit in their own silo. With grouping, opening a topic gives you the current state of a project: what was decided, what changed, what's still open, and which sessions the claims came from. One session can carry multiple tags (a meeting might be both #product-review and #q3-roadmap), the dashboard filters by any tag, and you can jump from a topic summary to any underlying session in one click.

Most people look at a meeting's calendar invite at least three times — once to prep, once during the meeting, and at least once after to remember what happened. Meeting Bable's Google Calendar integration puts the meeting note exactly where people already look. Connect Google Calendar once in Settings (it takes about ten seconds), and when you create a session you can link it to a calendar event from a dropdown of today's or this week's events. After processing, the AI summary and action items are written directly into the calendar event description — not a separate tool, not a Slack message nobody finds later, but inside the invite you already open. For recurring meetings this is especially valuable: tomorrow's standup invite will have yesterday's standup summary right at the top, so you walk in with context instead of re-asking.

The assistant reads your transcripts, summaries, and action items with your key's scoped permissions. For teams that prefer classic automation, the REST API covers the same ground: list sessions, fetch transcripts, retrieve summaries, extract action items, and filter by topic. Typical patterns we see in production: piping summaries into Notion or Confluence, creating Linear or Jira tickets from action items, triggering Slack notifications when a specific topic comes up, and custom analytics on how meeting time is actually spent. Every key can be revoked instantly.
